MOWADITA’s strategic objectives are focused on promoting the inclusion and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities in all aspects of society. Our primary goals include:
MOWADITA aims at promoting inclusion and protection of women and girls with disabilities to achieve the following specific objectives (ARTICLE 9):
Objective 1. Promoting Economic Empowerment for Women with Disabilities;
Objective 2. Enhancing full and effective participation of Women with disabilities in social, political, and cultural practices;
Objective 3. Promoting women and children with disabilities against Gender Based Violence (GBV); and
Objective 4. Awareness raising on women and children with disabilities in disability legal framework and mainstreaming in general community life aspects.
OUR DEDICATION
MOWADITA is dedicated to advocating for the rights and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities across Tanzania. Through a variety of initiatives and partnerships, we work to create an inclusive society where all individuals, regardless of their abilities, have equal access to opportunities. Our work focuses on economic empowerment, leadership development, protection from gender-based violence, and raising awareness about the rights of women and children with disabilities. By collaborating with other organizations and engaging local communities, MOWADITA strives to break down barriers and ensure that women and girls with disabilities are fully included in all areas of life.
